LESSON TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Cancelling a Lesson
Cruisin’ Thru operates a ‘Zero Tolerance’ cancellation policy.​
You WILL be charged for the lesson if:

A minimum of 48 hours notice has not been given if you need to cancel your lesson.

If the instructor arrives at the agreed pick up point and for what ever reason the lesson cannot go ahead. This includes: forgotten lesson, the wrong date or time, illness, over the drink drive limit and under the influence of drugs.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel any lesson at short notice if a pupil is believed to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Alcohol: You will be required to take a breath test. Refusal to take or a failed test result will result in the lesson being cancelled and charged at the full rate.

Drugs: If suspected of being unfit to drive due to the effects of drugs (illegal, recreational, prescription or other) or any other condition which would make driving illegal will result in the lesson being cancelled and charged at the full rate.

Pupils MUST be fit to drive regarding legal and medical requirements. Please inform of any of any medical conditions/issues that may affect your ability to drive. Pupils MUST inform and DECLARE to the instructor and the D.V.L.A. to any health changes that could affect your driving and any motoring convictions that you have on your driving licence.

The instructor reserves the right to cancel your lesson under certain circumstances including: illness, personal/family issues, mechanical breakdown, dangerous weather conditions and last minute test bookings. If this should arise, any prepaid lessons will be carried forward.​
Driving Licence
Pupils must hold a valid and current driving licence which will be shown to the instructor on your first lesson. Licences accepted are: UK Provisional, UK Full or International licences.​
Driving Test
If the pupil has not reached the required standard for test, the instructor reserves the right to withdraw their car without notice. The car supplied will be road worthy and complies with the legal test requirements. The test day will be charged at the standard hourly rate for a minimum of two hours.​
Cruisin’ Thru and your instructor cannot be held responsible for the D.V.S.A. changing, cancelling or rescheduling any test appointments for any reason. The pupil is therefore responsible for regularly checking their emails including: inbox, junk, spam and clutter folders for any notification from the D.V.S.A. With regard to the change of test date, time and location. If this were to happen you MUST inform the instructor immediately of the changes. Failure to do so, will incur the test fee cost if the instructor attends an incorrect test. If the D.V.S.A. change, cancel or reschedule your test within our own 48 hour cancellation policy the lesson fee and ‘use of car’ fee for the booked allotted time will be charged. Claiming compensation from the D.V.S.A. will be explained by the instructor if the case arises, unless it is due to ‘bad weather’ conditions.

Lesson Payment
All driving lesson must be paid for 72 hours in advance with 2 hours in credit. Lessons can be paid by Bank Transfer or Cash.
Payments made by Bank Transfer: please ensure that the pupil’s full name is entered as the payee reference. All Pre-paid lesson must used within 6 months of purchase; after this time period NO refunds will be given. The instructor has the right to cancel the lesson without notice and allocate that lesson slot to another pupil if payment has not been received either by bank transfer 72 hours before your lesson.
